For the first time in its long history, TOMCAT U will be held on the west coast!
That’s right, TOMCAT U is moving out west and will be held from March 2nd – 6th in the massive, 25,000 ft2 space at the newly opened TOMCAT/JTE offices & warehouse in Thousand Oaks, California. Its convenient location is only one hour from LAX and Los Angeles, and 30 minutes from Malibu.
The five-day workshop will feature four highly experienced instructors - Adrian Forbes-Black (Vice-President of TOMCAT USA), Will Todd (COO of TOMCAT USA), Jeff Reder (Principal and Partner of Clark-Reder Engineering) and Bill Sapsis (President of Sapsis Rigging, Inc.) - who will cover a wide range of truss and rigging subjects.
You’ll receive an extensive amount of valuable information and training on aluminum truss, truss engineering and its use in outdoor structures, ANSI Entertainment Technology standards, structural reports and operational documentation, ground support systems, rigging principles/hardware, and fall protections systems/hardware, among others. The maximum of 30 ETCP training credits are available for qualified attendees. But keep in mind this is only a partial list of what’s included in the workshop.

Lunch is provided on each day and is included in the price of the workshop. You can look forward to one night during the workshop where everyone will be taken to a local karting center (www.mb2raceway.com) for a fun and (slightly) competitive night of racing that will be topped off with a delicious dinner. “Warehouse Night” will be held on a separate evening, where dinner will be served on the warehouse floor, together with a few other surprises & opportunities to win prizes.
No TOMCAT U would be complete without our infamous TOMCAT U swag, including items provided by our generous sponsors.
